I've been picniking, I just don't bother to share it on four different sites.

I realize I haven't posted a lot of the picnik stuff for a while, so here's what I've been up to picnik-wise. Click on the pictures for a better/bigger view...

This has been my profile picture for blogger for a while..the picture is of a sofa I think.

Santa Monica pier. Not my photo, but I edited it to make it look awesome.

Once again, not my photo, I just awesomized it.

Me. I called it "pensieve." but there's more to it than that I think.

This kid at DYWC (Duke Young Writers' Camp) came up with this quote...we were doing six word stories, and he wrote this. He's, what, 10? 11?

I called this "are you the lookdown fish?"...I'm not sure why. I was looking down, but I don't know why I associated it with a type of fish.

I have more, they're just on facebook, so I have to go find them, and download them, and then post them here...and I'm lazy. And have a new curfew. So I don't have the time right now.

Looking back.

I guess
looking back
I didn't love you
until I'd lost you.
Forever, I thought,
it was all my fault,
and there'd be no going back
but
knowing
that you were there
gave me a little courage
enough to tell you what had happened
that I'd been stupid
that I was sorry
and to ask that question.
You said yes.

Why is it
that we only realize
how much we
LOVE
other people
until they're gone?

Looking back
I shouldn't have lied.
See where it's gotten me now?

Genius?

"I'm no cheerleader, but I'll cheer for you."

Currently?

Oh yeah, remember that Currently section that I mentioned a WHILE ago? Like back in the first week of February?
It's the return of the currentlies.
(cue horror movie music)
(please?)
(what, we don't do music here?)
(that's just rude.)
(whatever. no me digas, chica.)
(back to the blog post.)

Currently!
Just finished: doing a quick outline for my presentation tomorrow in geometry, a bunch of picnik collages, a vector in Aviary

Should be: going over the geometry presentation, studying for the test on Romeo and Juliet tomorrow, finding a current event for World on Friday

Waiting for: Wednesday- Broadway class performance, cast list;
Friday- The Receptionist (a show I'm going to see with a few of my friends- my current theater voice teacher and my middle school drama teacher are both in it);
Sunday
- some possible get-together-party-whatnot with THE thursday class

About to: publish this post, download some music, make an 8track.

The end!!

That last one mentioned 8track, which I recently discovered through some site or another. Anyways, it's a pretty cool music site, you should go take a peek around. Or completely ignore me. Whichever sounds more appealing. But I've made 2 mixes so far, and I like them rather a lot. So you can go look at my profile here.

That's it for now. Bye now. Y'all come back now, y'hear?
(Ah, Southern people make me laugh.)

THE thursday class

I'm not sure if I've mentioned THE thursday class as a whole too often, but I should say right now that they are some of the most amazing people I've ever met. I made some collages on Picnik just to show how amazing they are. And because I'm rather bored. (Click on the pictures for the unusually large full size view.)

On the picture on the left, from left to right: Mark, Henry, and Garrett. In the middle picture, left is Molly, right is me. The picture on the right is of a mirror in a ceiling, so it's a little hard to tell who's who, but if you can find the one with the camera blocking her face, it's me.

This was our class picture at the end of the Spring 2008 session. We've changed quite a bit since then.

On the left, where it says "Pippa," that would be Pippa. (It's a big surprise, I know.) On the right is Molly, with Clive the penguin.

And me and Garrett.
(Please don't ask about the girl scout cookies...)

l.o.v.e

I just made this vector in Raven today...click on it for full size.

I made this next one on Saturday to try to experiment with letters and more complicated shapes.
It's a little dramatic, but whatever, it's just an experiment. I also attempted some fancier shadows on this one but it's hard to tell.

Raven!

Aviary finally released Raven (vector editor) in Beta, so now I can use it because I can't afford a subscription. :D I made this:

I'm rather proud of myself. (Click on the image for full size.)

T-shirt extravaganza, part II

You know you've been waiting for these.
The links to the sites where these shirts came from can be found in part I.

Sketchy much?

This is the epitome of awesome cheese.

Good movie.

I wish I had such good friends as the ruler and the rock.

I'm always tempted to do this, because I fail at Rubik's cubes so badly.

Platypuses (platypi? the world will never know) are the best.

OH MY GOD. I LOVE.

This has always been impossible for me to say correctly. Thus, I refrain from saying it.

GEFILTE FISH!

I'm not Canadian, but this shirt is pretty cool.

Hell yes.

They really don't. They should...go to the mall or something.

THEY'RE EVERYWHERE.

That's me.

Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry, little guys..

Knitting ninjas? It's a dream come true.

Is it bad that this reminds me of the girls in my history class?

Combination of Sweeney Todd/Anti-vegitarian.

The earth is such a genius.

T-shirt extravaganza, Part I

These designs are from:
snorgtees.com
kosherham.com
crazydogtshirts.com

Yeah, that's me. I used to have one of these!!
Poor Pluto. Best. Insult. Ever.
Oh yes. This reminds me of She's The Man...
EEK. Terminator composer. Stupid mouse.
He's my homie G. XP I didn't, in case you were wondering.
That's kind of AMAZING. I don't, but I love this shirt.
Ah, the life of an unemployed PowerRanger. JUNO!
E.T.=the best movie ever. Oh beautiful.
The bears of the ocean? What? Ewww, I see your epidermis...eww...
I know someone with this shirt! YAy! And I know at least 2 dyslexics.
I love Charlie Brown oh so much. I used to have this game. Fo shizz.
It's a big decision. Not as big as rock-paper-scissors-lizard-Spock, but... Oh wow. I love.
They are SO incredibly creepy, it's insane. Ouch.
A lot of the shirts I saw were about beer. And sex. Strange. I'd better go talk to Stella about the dangers of catnip, then.
Fepic. Literally.
ZOOLANDER! Ohwow.
"A butterfly, drawn to the, to the, to the...I bet you wanna know why I shot the bastard." OhIlove.
YES HE WILL. Oh yes.
This shirt is half epic, half awesome, and half not good with fractions. I ain't no Challah back girl. Hell yeah.
I found them. It's very dangerous.

unedited. oh my.

Yeah, don't worry, these are just photos that I haven't run through my usual color-adjustment-and-cropping routine...although I think I'm keeping the first one (the dog with the pinecone) just as it is because I like the lighting. The others might need some work though.

English.

We had an assignment in English for tomorrow, called "What Is Love?" from our unit on Romeo and Juliet. We basically had to create a "bumper sticker" (more like a regular piece of paper) with a metaphor/simile about love written on it. I've found through experience with metaphors and similes is that if you pick something and think hard enough about it, you'll be able to relate it to the other thing, in this case, love. So I picked a beach, and this is what I came up with:My friend came up with this one, which I like: "Love is like one of those weird bouncy balls- you never know which direction it'll go." I found her description of "weird bouncy balls" to be extremely amusing, for some reason. Enough of my oddities.

For now.

The purpose of this post is to avoid Maureen's soul-cookie-cake-eating habits.

Yet another post dedicated to the dear Maureen.
She wants me to post my songs so she can see them...I haven't finished anything for a while, but I'll post some of the stuff that's fairly decent. (I wrote a lot of songs in 8th grade, but they weren't that good.)

I also have a new favorite 7th grader now.

So, anyways, here's a bit of an old song. It's called "Believe Me."

(verse 1)

Sometimes sometimes I feel very very small
I’m never ever worth anything at all
but I live on, live on
get on with my life, my life
if it don’t turn out right, right
I just go on, on, on, on

(verse 2)

There are some times when the day is through
I get home and sit down and I think of you
I’m not in love, in love
it’s more of a daze, daze
I’m stuck in the haze, haze
just know it’s you I’m thinking of.

(chorus)

I’m not, not
in love, love
with anyone at all
but when I tell them
I’m not, not
in love…
they don’t believe me
I’m not, not
in love, love
with you…
no one believes me…

(Verse 3)

There was a time when I did love you
some people thought that you loved me too
because you convinced me
you were so nice to me
you actually talked to me
you were just being friendly

(verse 4)

Well right now there’s no one for me
I don’t love anyone, and no one loves me
people think it’s all right, right
it’s more of a curse, curse
how could it get worse, worse
I wanna be free, take flight.

(chorus)

I’m not, not
in love, love
with anyone at all
but when I tell them
I’m not, not
in love…
they don’t believe me
I’m not, not
in love, love
with you…
no one believes me.

(bridge)

Some people think,
“She’s such a lucky girl.”
Because they think
that I’m doing just fine.
But they’d be wrong
I’m in a different world
so don’t think
that I’m doing just fine.

(chorus)

I’m not, not
in love, love
with anyone at all
but when I tell them
I’m not, not
in love…
they don’t believe me
I’m not, not
in love, love
with you…
no one believes me.
No one believes me.
Someone believe me
Do you believe me?
Oh, please believe me.
Oh, just believe me!
Yeah, it's old, I'm past that now. But it was about a guy, who, at that time, I had recently stopped liking, and people looked at me like I was crazy when I told them I didn't like anyone. Although I really really wanted to like someone.
Like I said, I'm past that now.
More later.
For now...adieu.

Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May...

I'm auditioning for A Midsummer Night's Dream (Midsummer Night's. Not Midsummer's Night. Okay?) pretty soon, so I'm reading the play. I'm also reading Romeo and Juliet for English.

I have both of them contained in one handy-dandy book (Blue's Clues moment!), as well as 5 other plays, excerpts from other plays, songs from the plays, and sonnets.

I'm overwhelmed by Shakespeare.

I'm also in an audition workshop for Midsummer auditions, and we had to scan (mark rhythm and stresses, like in iambic pentameter) Sonnet 18. ("Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate.")
So now I also know most of Sonnet 18.
I'M GOING MAD.
I SWEAR.

Holy Roman Empire.
(That would be my new exclamation.)

Oh, back on the subject of Blue's Clues, I recently found out from a friend that Blue IS A GIRL.
This disturbs me to no end, for some reason.

I'm also going to start doing a "currently" section.
Right...NOW.

CURRENTLY:
Listening to: His Name Is Lancelot - from Spamalot. (you can all find him, pumping at the gym, at the Camelot YMCA!)
Oh, now it changed. Party in a Forest - The Wombats.
Reading: A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet. - William Shakespeare.
Supposed to be doing: English homework. Hey, it was a long day, I deserved a break. I almost fell asleep a few times during geometry.
Wishing: It was Friday night. That the district would put the four-day work week into effect (it's not so likely anymore, because gas prices are currently rather low...)
About to: Go get me some Trader Joe's Chinese food. Ciao bella.

(Delayed) New Year's Resolutions...and other stuff.

Yes, I know, it's February. You're supposed to make resolutions in December. But I did, and it was a really important one, so, I've got some actual ones now.

1. Focus on schoolwork. It's hard to concentrate when all your friends live in your computer...
2. Update blog more often. I'm too busy enjoying life to actually record life, which is something important. There are things I want to remember, but I have to take the time to make some kind of record.

Just wanted to put that out there.
Gaah, why is iTunes insisting on playing the Music Man soundtrack? I DON'T WANT TO LISTEN TO MUSIC MAN.
Ooh, this is better. Sweeney Todd! Yay!

I also have my Monty Python's Flying Circus Calendar. So every week I watch another episode. This is going to be one awesome year. My favorite so far (of the 4 that I've seen) was Episode 4, called "Owl Stretching Time." It's just as awesome as the title. Some awesome sketches that you should look up:

Marriage Guidance Counselor (episode 2, "Sex and Violence")
Bicycle Repairman (episode 3, "How to Recognise Different Types of Trees from Quite a Long Way Away")
Self-Defence (episode 4, "Owl Stretching Time")
Secret Service Dentists (episode 4, "Owl Stretching Time")

Ooh, here's some nice Sting. ("Epilogue (Nothin' 'Bout Me)") Sting is awesome.

If I finish some homework I get to go to the mall with some friends today. So I'm going to go focus now. Bye. :D
