I'm auditioning for A Midsummer Night's Dream (Midsummer Night's. Not Midsummer's Night. Okay?) pretty soon, so I'm reading the play. I'm also reading Romeo and Juliet for English.
I have both of them contained in one handy-dandy book (Blue's Clues moment!), as well as 5 other plays, excerpts from other plays, songs from the plays, and sonnets.
I'm overwhelmed by Shakespeare.
I'm also in an audition workshop for Midsummer auditions, and we had to scan (mark rhythm and stresses, like in iambic pentameter) Sonnet 18. ("Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate.")
So now I also know most of Sonnet 18.
I'M GOING MAD.
I SWEAR.
Holy Roman Empire.
(That would be my new exclamation.)
Oh, back on the subject of Blue's Clues, I recently found out from a friend that Blue IS A GIRL.
This disturbs me to no end, for some reason.
I'm also going to start doing a "currently" section.
Right...NOW.
CURRENTLY:Listening to: His Name Is Lancelot - from Spamalot. (you can all find him, pumping at the gym, at the Camelot YMCA!)
Oh, now it changed. Party in a Forest - The Wombats.
Reading: A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet. - William Shakespeare.
Supposed to be doing: English homework. Hey, it was a long day, I deserved a break. I almost fell asleep a few times during geometry.
Wishing: It was Friday night. That the district would put the four-day work week into effect (it's not so likely anymore, because gas prices are currently rather low...)
About to: Go get me some Trader Joe's Chinese food. Ciao bella.
